Our handholes allow quick and easy access into the tank interior for product inspection or sampling, and are available in various sizes and designs. The TCI-04 is a popular choice for many of our clients and is available with ASME Code Certification. We also offer ferrule type and integral MetaClamp® sight glass access ports.
Materials and Specifications
All TCI handholes and access ports are available in stainless steel as a standard material, with exotic alloy options for demanding process environments, including Hastelloy®, AL6XN, Duplex 2205, and Inconel®. Standard surface finish is 30 Ra inside and outside, with polished finishes available from 80 grit up to 320 grit (5–10 Ra) on select models. Handhole sizes range from 4″ to 12″, with special sizes available on request.
Gasket options across the product line include Silicone (PC and Class VI), EPDM (White, Black, or Class VI), Viton (White or Black), and Teflon Envelope with Silicone or Viton insert, supporting a broad range of fluid compatibility and regulatory requirements.

Yes. All three handhole designs are built with sanitary applications in mind. The TCI-04 is self-draining with no crevice for product buildup, making it ideal for CIP (clean-in-place) cleaning. All units are safe for autoclave conditions, and gasket materials are available in FDA-compliant grades.
