Part-Time Shipping Specialist

Summary

Essential Functions

  • Assist with organizing truck loads and routing schedules.
  • Coordinate delivery and pickup with the customer and sales team.
  • Prepare all necessary shipping documents for customers and carriers.
  • Communicate with shipping about any labels or documents needed for orders shipping.
  • Works with many shipping vendor sites in various states, as well as internationally.
  • Answer and direct phone calls; take messages or handle routine inquiries.
  • Maintain and update physical and digital filing systems.
  • Scan and archive sales orders, bills, and material documents.
  • Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with occasionally going into the warehouse area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position occasionally requires walking to the shipping department which is located in the back of the warehouse.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, generally 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Hours may vary, and may be longer at month-end or on an as-needed basis if there is a higher than normal volume of orders.

Production

Stainless Polisher – 2nd Shift

Summary

We are currently looking for someone to join our Team to operate our Dishing Machines in our Tank Head department.

Please Note: This is a second shift position; however training will be on day shift M-F 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with supervisor.

Will move to nights (M-F 3:30pm-Midnight), and receive a $1.50 per hour night shift differential once training is complete.

Over-time as needed.

Summary

The machine operator position in the Tank Heads department operates multiple presses and machines to manipulate stainless blanks into tank heads. This position operates manual and automated machinery to create custom order tank heads.

Essential Functions

· Operates manual and automated equipment. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

· Determine appropriate pressures to manipulate stainless blanks into custom order tank heads.

· Pushes buttons or depresses pedal to activate machine.

· Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions.

· Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

· Removes burrs or sharp edges from workpiece.

· Performs minor machine maintenance such as maintaining machines, dies or workpieces.

· Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department head.

· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

· Complete and submit maintenance request order.

· Operates any equipment needed to complete work order such as; forklift, overhead crane, etc.

· Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.

Competencies

· Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals.

· Must be able to spot defects on work; close visual inspection required.

· Good problem solving skills

· Good interpersonal and communication skills required.

· Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents.

· Recognize when to stop assembly and production when quality related issue(s) are present.

· Teamwork oriented.

· Good time management skills.

Certifications: Forklift training certificate or the ability to obtain it.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday,

2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. to Midnight
